These are designed to make listening to the television more comfortable for individuals with hearing impairment, without disturbing those around them. TV listening systems may be: TV. The amplifier sends the sound to a headset through the wire. The major disadvantage of this system is that the wire is not too long, and the listener has to stay close to the television. Moreover, others may accidentally trip over the wire. Relaxing at the end of the day listening to music or watching TV - simple pleasures that we take for granted but which may be difficult if someone can't hear well. A range of solutions from direct input and inductive listening devices that can plug into a standard headphone socket.

VoiceView Quick Start Instructions
VoiceView is available on all Fire TV devices and can be enabled during setup.
Plug your Fire TV into your television, then power.
Insert included batteries into the remote. When you hear a single tone sound, your Fire TV and remote are ready to pair.
Press the Home button to pair your remote. Home is the middle button in the top row of three small buttons.
Once the remote is paired you will hear a different two tonetwo-tone sound.
To enable VoiceView, hold the Back and Menu buttons for 2 seconds. Back and Menu are the left and right buttons in the top row of three small buttons.
When VoiceView is enabled for the first time, the VoiceView tutorial will automatically start. You can revisit that tutorial at any time, through VoiceView Settings.

Closed Captions
Watch movies and TV shows with closed captions. Look for the CC icon when browsing movies and TV shows. Captions are not available for all titles.

Apple TV is a digital media player and micro-console developed by Apple. Hardwire System:
A hard-wired system has an amplifier and a head set. The amplifier receives its signal directly from a wire that is plugged into the Personal Listening Devices: Personal Listening Devices are usually based on FM technology. These are typically used in schools, meetings, discussions, etc. The speaker wears a microphone that is either clipped on to their collar or as a headset. This is connected to a transmitter, which sends out FM signals to the receiver. The receiver wears ear buds, or earphones on a headset. Personal Listening Devices can also be carried around in the pocket everywhere.

Hardwired Assistive Listening Devices
Hardwired ALDs use an actual cord or wire to transmit the sound, thereby tethering the listener to the sound source. A hardwired ALD is typically lower in cost, easy to use, and is very portable. It is excellent for situations where the listener-to-speaker distance is not too great, such as in an automobile, restaurant or for TV viewing. It is also excellent as a temporary form of amplification such as may be needed in a doctor's office, hospital or nursing home. A disadvantage of the device is restricted mobility and limited seating arrangements which are dictated by the length of the cord. This limits the usefulness of a hardwired ALD in larger communication situations such as in a classroom, meeting or tour group.
